PREREQUISITES FOR THE OPEN WATER COURSE
To enroll in the PADI or SSI Open Water Diver course at Paradise Divers in Utila, you must meet the following prerequisites:
You need to be at least 10 years old for the Junior Open Water Diver certification or 15 years old for the Open Water Diver certification. Basic swimming skills are required, including the ability to swim 200 meters and float or tread water for 10 minutes. Additionally, you should be in good physical health, as a medical statement may be required. No prior diving experience is necessary to start your underwater adventure with us.
